Third Saturday Worktrip for August

We will be working just out of Woody Gap parking lot for about a half mile of trail.  This section of trail is some of the most used trail sections on the A.T. in Georgia.  Large groups hike this section, greatly widening the trail with numerous braids and shortcuts.  We will be working to return the trail to some of its original locations, reduce berms, block braids etc.  This is also a very popular spot for weekend hikers, so the parking lot will fill up fast.  I ask all to carpool if at all possible.  August means a lot of heat, possible pop-up storms and insects so dress and pack accordingly.  If you have additional questions, please contact Mike Cordisco at mac4rv@aol.com.
