Stone Mountain Park – South Woods Hike

We will be hiking some lesser traveled trails around Stone Mountain Park utilizing orange blazed connections in the South Woods and West Lake zones of the park. This will be a moderately paced hike of approximately 7 miles near lakes and through forests, including the old velodrome area from the 1996 Olympics now repurposed as a bird sanctuary. Rooty and slick in places, but minimal climbing required.
