GA 4000 Challenge Hike to Grassy Ridge

This loop hike starts at Patterson Gap on FS 32, near Dillard, GA.  We will use the old Grassy Ridge trail to climb steeply to the summit in 1.5 miles. After taking a break on top and enjoying the views, we will continue northbound to meet the old Carter Gap trail. Turning right at this junction, we will proceed 2 miles back to the starting point. The total mileage is approximately 4 miles with 900 feet of elevation gain on trails that are passable but no longer maintained.
