East Palisades Bamboo Forest Trail

Come enjoy the best of what the Metro area offers for in-town hiking! The East Palisades section of the Chattahoochee River National Park system contains several acres of bamboo forest right along the Hooch. We will meander downhill to the forest, and spend some taking in the beauty of the river and the awe-inspiring tall bamboo shoots. After having a snack on the river, we’ll begin the ascent back to the parking lot, adding an extra loop to make it a 4-mile outing. Parts of the uphill climb are mildly challenging, so wear your sturdy shoes – there are roots and rocks. See you there!
