District 3 Mid-Week Work Trip

In District 3, we have rescheduled the work at Three Forks along the Long Creek Falls Trail from October 4th which was rained out. The work area is badly cupped and entrenched in areas. This work trip will attempt to add a rock base step to reduce the undercutting of a set of rock steps, and we will install log check steps in the deepest areas to help control the erosion. There will also be a couple of knicks and dips that need work. The hike into the work site is approximately 1/2 mile on a gentle grade.

Hard hats, work boots or sturdy shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes), long pants (no tights or leggings), and work gloves are required for the trip. Hard hats and work gloves will be provided for you if you don’t have your own, and you are welcome to bring your own hard hat, work gloves, and tools, if you choose.  Members, guests, and visitors — all are welcome.
