Dawson Forest Creekside Hike
Rescheduled – A 5.5 mile hike along Amicalola Creek and Huckleberry Branch through the Dawson Forest. Lush trees and lovely water views abound with only 650ft of elevation gain. We’ll hike at a moderate pace allowing time to admire and photograph emerging spring flowers and migrating birds. This is a wildlife management area so expect the trails to be rustic with some scrambling in a few areas along the creek bank. Bring snacks or a lunch, water, and binoculars if you are a birder.
Note: You will need to bring a copy of your GA Fishing License, Hunting License or Land Pass which can be obtained here: https://gooutdoorsgeorgia.com. A regular GA Sate Parks Pass is not sufficient for access to state gamelands.
