Why Membership?
Membership in GATC is a great way to give back to the Appalachian Trail and become part of a heritage of conservation that has been going strong for over nine decades.
GATC has built an active membership of people from all walks of life and welcomes anyone who shares GATC’s commitment to the Appalachian Trail and is interested in our club’s mission of preserving it through a variety of activities. Or you may simply want to support GATC’s work to advocate, maintain and improve the A.T. in Georgia. Whatever your level of interest and your ability to contribute to our mission, GATC invites you to join the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club and become part of our team. We observe a Hikers Code and Club Rules that guide all of our activities.

There are four types of membership to which you can apply.

Two members living in the same residence.

Junior
Number of members
One member
Age restriction: 14 – 17 years old.

College Student
Number of members

Full-time, enrolled college student

One Year – $15

The GATC Membership Committee does its best to respond to information requests promptly, but please allow three to five days and plan accordingly for upcoming activities and orientations.
