The 11.5-mile long, strenuous day hike will start at Dally Gap in the Cohutta Wilderness and proceed on the Penitentiary Branch Trail 3.5 miles down to the Jacks River Trail. We will then hike upstream, crossing the Jacks River about 20 times, as we return to Dally Gap.
