GATC will bushwhack from Tate City and the Tallulah River area (Elev. 2,300 feet) to the summit of Dicks Knob (Elev. 4,620 feet).  Dicks Knob is Georgia's third highest mountain.  This very strenuous day hike is about 7 miles long and has about 3,000 vertical feet of ascents.
