This is a 9.6-mile hike on Sections 9 and 10 of the BMT.  Beginning near a private cemetery the trail descends to the South Fork of the Jacks River, and then ascends to an old logging road to Watson Gap.  The next section northbound enters the Cohutta Wilderness, crosses the Jacks River Trail, then rises for some spectacular views.  The walk to the cars from Spanish Oak Gap is on the Hemptop Trail.
