This lovely hike is a moderate uphill on the Benton MacKaye Trail for 3.3 miles in the early morning, and the remainder is mostly downhill, and it includes the 1996 Olympics Whitewater Center and walking along the Ocoee River in the beginning and latter stages.  Several interconnecting trails provide your downhill journey for a day's total trekking of about eight miles.
