This hike starts at Neels Gap (US Hwy 19/129) and proceeds southbound up and over Blood Mountain, through Jarrard Gap (near Lake Winfield Scott), through Miller Gap, and then up and over Big Cedar Mountain, followed by a lengthy descent to Woody Gap (GA Hwy 60).  This very strenuous hike is about 10.6 miles long, has about 2,900 vertical feet of ascents, and requires a shuttle.
