This is a 12-mile hike on the AT from Hogpen Gap to Chattahoochee Gap and then down the Jacks Knob Trail to GA-180.  This section has gentle grades mixed with alternating ascents and descents.  This makes an excellent long dayhike.  We will see Low Gap Shelter and Chattahoochee Spring, which is the source of the Chattahoochee River.
