Standing Indian is located at the head waters of the Nantahala River, not far from Franklin, NC.  You have a choice of tent camping or RV sites.  Also worth mentioning for tent campers, showers are available.  There are many hiking trails in the area, as well as opportunities for shooting moving water and the spectacular fall colors.
