At a distance of about 11 miles, the hike from Horse Gap to Woody Gap is one of the longest and more difficult AT Series hikes in Georgia. This strenuous hike ascends several mountains -- Sassafras, Justus, Gooch, and Ramrock -- on its way to the very popular destination Woody Gap (GA Hwy 60).
